Little things we love for raising bilingual, curious kids.
We're always discovering little things that make learning, playing, and introducing Spanish at home feel more natural and fun. So, we created this space to share some of our favorites; books we've read with our own girls, toys we've enjoyed, bilingual resources we've tried, and other family finds we think are worth sharing.
Nothing complicated. Just things we genuinely love and would recommend to another family.
Ages 1–4 · Bilingual
A playful first bilingual story about food, days of the week, and growing up.
This was one of the very first books we read with our girls in both English and Spanish, and it quickly became part of our daily rhythm. Our girls especially loved pointing out all the different foods.
Why we love it: Simple, repetitive language makes it wonderful for early bilingual exposure.
Ages 1–3 · Bilingual
A sweet and simple story about connection, curiosity, and reassurance.
This one holds a special place for us. We used it early on when introducing both English and Spanish because the repetitive sentence structure made it easy for our girls to follow along — and eventually anticipate the question themselves.
Why we love it: Repetition supports language recognition while making storytime interactive.
Ages 2–5 · Bilingual
A classic story filled with language, rhythm, imagination, and plenty of opportunities for little ones to join in.
We especially love the playful repetition. Changing voices, acting out the story, and letting little ones join in on the familiar lines turns a simple book into imaginative play.

Ages 5–8 · Spanish

Every family's bilingual journey looks different.
You don't have to speak Spanish perfectly, have the perfect collection of books, or turn every moment into a lesson. Sometimes it starts with one story, one song, or a few words woven naturally into your child's day.
We hope some of the things we share here help make those little moments easier and a little more fun.
